Spinning room and laundry room, creative groups and collective work carries out in villages, earth and garden, kitchen and stove.
Where did people use to meet? What spaces, rooms and elements served as meeting points? Where do we meet and spend time together today? In public spaces and in nature, in restaurants and cafés, in clubs or in each other’s homes. Why do we meet? To spend time together and play, create and develop, exercise or just have a good meal? What kind of places, spaces and elements do we choose for our purposes? What is the most important factor in our choice? When entering a space, what are the most important elements, from the aspect of the observer, that determine the encounter and the quality of the time spent together?
Thinking and talking about these and similar questions, you can participate in collective creation at the workshop sessions of KACs Workshop.
Meeting points – Pattern design with KACs Workshop
In the course of the programme, participants explore and mentally “walk around” their favourite meeting places (space/building/spatial element, furniture) and then map them into a pattern. The pattern can be made in the form of a printing block or heat transfers to decorate various textiles over the course of the workshop.
Game of Encounters – Game Design with KACs Workshop
In the same space, side by side, yet far apart. Is it a phenomenon experienced by everyone, that sitting next to each other, even looking up from time to time, everyone is immersed in their own phone, chatting with others, playing games or watching videos? Discussing and thinking together about the above questions during the workshop, there will be an opportunity to design a game/toy, an interactive (spatial) element that the user can carry with them, even give as a gift to someone or even their favourite hangout, to encourage others to be mindfully present, to experience time spent together, to play together and talk.
Mini spaces of encounters – Spatial design and maquette making with KACs Workshop
What is an ideal meeting space like? What are the most important factors when choosing a place to meet family/friends/acquaintances? Accessibility, supply, a furniture element, a natural element, a light source?
Reflecting, even together, on these questions, a maquette of participants’ ideal meeting space or even a piece of cardboard furniture can be designed and created during the workshop.
Space creation, creation of space – Making a community installation with KACs Workshop
What is the first thing people notice when they enter a space? The walls, the floor, the lights, or the furniture? Different spaces are designed and arranged with different aspects and purposes in mind. During the workshop, a special spatial installation will be created in FISE’s creative space, using only recyclable materials.
