Herend porcelain works in architectural spaces
Through Herend porcelain works, the organisers will show how the statues and architectural
sculptures by applied artist Ákos Tamás are organically integrated into the local community's
culture of forms, how the architectural sculptures by ceramist and sculptor Imre Schrammel
shape the unique style of the built environment, and what symbolic messages the lithophane
tondos and porcelain lace pieces by László Horváth convey to today's viewers. The
presentation also reveals how designer Etelka Meixner's tree of life can become a
community experience in everyday spaces and traffic junctions. All of this will take place in
Budapest, at the Herend Porcelain Palace, in a space designed by Marcell Benson, interior
designer graduated from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design.
