Savage Works, a Pécs-based variety theatre company, will make its debut at the Budapest Design Week: the audience will be able to see their play entitled ‘Under Vanity’ in Kunsthalle.
In their performances, the company strives to innovate, entertain and delight. Typically, they use the latest dance and aerial gymnastics techniques mixed with contemporary musical elements. In their visual world, they seek to exceed expectations: the Company is fully self-financing, so they invest their maximum creativity to present high quality productions.
During the performances, live music will be provided by DJ Zelina, who is an integral part of the performance throughout. UV body painting—as the title of the piece suggests—is a must. Diána Sándor, one of the founding members of Savage Works, excels not only as a performer but also as a costume designer: the look she has created evokes a futuristic effect. In the background, paintings by Zsolt Sándor are projected. The intense and unique imagery puts the theme of the performance, i.e. the dynamics of human relationships, in a whole new context. The coherent fabric of choreography, music, costumes and visuals creates a theatrical experience that everyone should see live! – this is how the creators of the production attract their audience.
