At home in “Csikágó”
A building history tour in the former home of applied artist Miksa Róth
The Miksa Róth Memorial House and Collection is located in the former home of world-
famous applied artist Miksa Róth in Nefelejcs utca in district VII of Budapest. Designed by
architect Samu Pecz, the residential and workshop building was one of the exciting
innovations of the “Csikágó” neighbourhood of the time. Walking in the museum to discover
the history of the building, visitors can learn about the master's everyday life, his chatty
servants, his lady-of-the-house wife and tour the building from cellar to attic to answer the
ultimate question: how many secrets can the walls of a museum hold?
A building history tour in the Miksa Róth Memorial House and Collection at 11 a.m. on 8
