The exhibition presents folk art in an innovative and attractive way, combining the elements
of tradition with modern fashion and original make-up. Beata Bojda, the Polish designer,
make-up artist and stylist, specializes in creating unique clothes, for which she gains
inspiration from a treasury of the rich folk-art heritage (folk costumes and decorative motifs).
Her works have been recognized all over the world, including London and Paris. In addition
to photos showing her special stylizations, the exhibition will also feature traditional, colourful
crepe paper flowers, wreath and crown decorations made by folk craftsmen. These
decorations have accompanied religious holidays and family celebrations (mostly weddings)
for generations. Beata Bojda’s creations come to life in Ewa Wolf’s photos, emphasizing the
unique role of women in the formation of human relationships and creation of culture. The
project was realized in cooperation with the Fundacja9Sił Foundation.
