CANCELLED – Absolute Aesthete – Behind Masks – Guerrilla Art

“Behind Masks – Do You See What You Are Looking At” is a city-wide guerrilla art project using the human face as a central visual language to explore identity, perception, and hidden aspects of the self. Collage portraits made from fragments of different faces, mirrors with provocative slogans, masks symbolising personalities, and projections placing one person’s thoughts onto another’s face appear in public spaces. The installations explore social-psychological phenomena: how we are shaped by external influences, hide behind masks, project our beliefs, and how our energy fields interact. The project is unexpected, powerful, and thought-provoking, interrupting the everyday and prompting reflection: do you truly see what you are looking at, or only the façade?
