A Treasure That You Wear: Tell Your Story With Jewellery – Workshop

The workshop “A Treasure That You Wear: – Tell Your Story with Jewellery!” takes place on 11 October from 4.00 PM to 6.00 PM as a freely accessible event within Budapest Design Week. The session explores what happens when jewellery is not merely decorative but also carries a personal story. Participants can give new life to forgotten objects: a button, a screw, or an old key transforms into a unique piece of jewellery, designed and created by each participant. The process includes creation, discussion, and playful experimentation with materials, roles, and boundaries. No prior experience is needed, only openness and curiosity; the organisers provide the tools, materials, and momentum. The workshop is led by Anna Börcsök, with collaborator Dominik Felgyői, jewellery and accessory designer and former BA student. At the end of the session, participants take home a piece of jewellery that carries their personal story and that they can proudly wear, as it is made by their own hands. About the Organiser:
Pincegaléria is the contemporary art exhibition space at Eötvös10 in Terézváros, hosting both group and solo exhibitions, as well as thematic, research-based projects. Its multi-room basement exhibitions reflect contemporary art trends and address current issues in visual and design culture.
