2025.10.10 18:00 - 19:00

During the GLASSFLOW studio visit, guests can gain insight into the creative world of glass artist Melinda Soltész and listen to a lecture on the architectural, interior design, and home furnishing applications of reflex glass. Under the Glassflow brand, Melinda designs and produces unique, luxury-grade mirror-reflex glass claddings, illuminated objects and artworks, crafted through artisanal processes. The claddings work in a modular system, but individual pieces are also made with custom sculptural solutions. In both development and production, she follows sustainable and circular principles: her silvering method is based on an environmentally friendly Hungarian patent, and any surplus material generated during production is reintroduced into specific stages of the process. Her works inspire architects, interior designers, decorators and private clients alike. Registration is required for the programme at hot.art.goes@gmail.com, indicating the preferred time (10 October 2025, 5.00 PM or 6.00 PM).

About the Organiser:
Melinda Soltész defines herself as a contemporary artist, having worked for 25 years across the intersections of applied arts, design and fine art. She is credited with creating reflex glass claddings and objects, protected by design rights, partly realised under the Hungarian Academy of Arts’ three-year art fellowship programme. Her works are regularly presented at the S/ALON interior exhibition, while her glass sculptures have featured at prestigious events including Art Market (2021–2022), Essentia Artis (2022), and Glass Art NOW! @ The Venice Glass Week 2023 in Venice. In 2024, her works were also shown in Jablonec (North Bohemia) and Novo Mesto (Slovenia). An interview with the artist can be viewed on Médiaklikk (from 17:40 starts the episode Form), which also features her exhibition MAKE GLASS NOT WAR! held at KAS Gallery in May, while she talks about her artistic approach.
