Anna Eszter Tóth Exhibition – Opening

Anna Eszter Tóth’s latest paintings, in their free form and variety, almost transcend the frame. Their temporary placement and fragile, spontaneous fixing evoke Robert Morris’s concept of “antiform”. The artist is currently engaged in texturological experiments: she soaks, washes, and drips painted textiles, or draws rhythmic stripes on their surface. The material absorbs the colour of the paint, and the stains gradually assume their final shape. Chance also plays a significant role in her ceramic work. Imprints of textile patterns appear on the clay surface, folded forms stack spontaneously, and the final result always remains uncertain. This exhibition at Kastner Kommunity provides insight into this experimental approach, allowing visitors to explore the artist’s most recent works.
