The joint exhibition of the Szimultán Art School and the Visual and Object Creation Department of the Art School of Buda celebrates the third anniversary of Fúzió. The first edition focused on the creative activities of the artist-teachers, while this year’s exhibition showcases a selection of student works.
The exhibition titled FÚZIÓ | FUSION was first held on 15 September 2023, marking not only a celebration of art but also a symbol of the union of two iconic institutions. The merging of the Art School of Buda and the Szimultán Art School created a new artistic community, signalling the start of a creative era built on value-driven traditions. Gallery MAX, located in the MaxCity Home Furnishing Shopping Centre, which hosted the first exhibition, once again provides the venue. After two years, the student works resulting from the collaboration of the two institutions are on display at this location, covering disciplines such as artistic graphics, fine and media photography, painting, goldsmithing, jewellery, glasswork, and ceramics.
About the Organiser:
The Art School of Buda was founded in 1992 to provide children, young people, and adults with visual education, basic art instruction, vocational training, and further education, as well as to organise exhibitions, artistic programmes, and competitions. They believe that creativity exists in everyone, but proper arts education is required to nurture it. In their classes, they support students’ skill development and goal achievement in a friendly and personalised environment. They offer training across three educational levels for all age groups: from primary and secondary school students, to young adults and adults enrolling in intensive post-secondary vocational courses, and even those wishing to develop their knowledge further with a basic foundation. Talent development and the education of children who love to draw, young people with artistic interests, and adult learners are equally important responsibilities.
