Today, product design is less about traditional expertise and more about moving between disciplines and seeking points of connection – building bridges between science, art, intuition, and aesthetics. This joint exhibition by students of the Hungarian-language BA in Product Design and the English-language MA in Design at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design presents selected works that reveal how inspiring synergies can emerge between theory and practice, the artificial and the natural, the abstract and the real. The exploration of deeper contexts is supported by themed guided tours and roundtable discussions. The exhibition is hosted at Bäse – Creative Clubhouse, a fresh and innovative arts venue in Ferencváros, which provides a new platform for the Hungarian creative community. By presenting student works beyond the university, the exhibition highlights the vital importance of ongoing passage between education and professional life.

About the Organiser:
Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design is one of Hungary’s oldest and most prestigious higher education institutions in applied arts and design. This exhibition presents the work of students from the BA in Product Design and the MA in Design programmes. The courses not only impart practical knowledge but also explore the broader contexts of design thinking, offering future designers a holistic perspective. A central aim of education is to balance different viewpoints, uncover connections between diverse worlds, and cultivate a proactive, open-minded, creative approach. The exhibition venue, Bäse – Creative Clubhouse, aligns perfectly with this philosophy.
