Ceramate Studio – My Cup – Workshop

At this Ceramate Studio workshop, participants will discover the process of crafting handmade cups, exploring the different stages of clay transformation, and learning how these objects eventually find their way into the hands of a professional barista, who, on this occasion, will also present a pour-over coffee tasting. The aim is for participants to experience the beauty of the slow design approach, an essential part of the world of artisanal ceramics. During the programme, everyone will have the opportunity to create their own unique, personalised cup or coaster – one or two, according to preference – which they will be able to take home after 1–3 weeks. About the Organiser:
Ceramate Studio is run by the creative duo Borbála Fű and Lóránd Zubor, who work in close collaboration, complementing each other, to create ceramic tableware, cups, and decorative objects. Their works can be found in numerous Hungarian and international restaurants. Every piece is handmade, and their distinctive character comes from unique surface treatments and decoration techniques based on chance. The designers work hand in hand with chefs to ensure that each piece of tableware is tailored to harmonise with the atmosphere of the venue. Their philosophy is that using handcrafted objects turns everyday dining into a celebration, encouraging mindfulness and deeper appreciation. Their Budapest studio is open to anyone interested in unique tableware, searching for a special gift, or wishing to take a closer look at the process of artisanal ceramics.
