A Villa Reimagined – Guided Tour

Location:

Budapest, Jókai-villa – 1025 Budapest, Vend u. 4.

Dates

2025.10.11

The restoration of the Jókai Villa balanced contemporary design approaches with the careful preservation of heritage values. During the programme, lead designers and architects Dániel Berecz and Huba Ferenczi will present the creative and technical challenges that shaped the villa’s renewal. Participants will gain first-hand insight into the project concept, the handling of heritage aspects, and the building’s current functions: it now houses both a child psychology practice and the editorial office of Mindennapi Pszichológia magazine. The professional presentation will demonstrate how a historic building can be adapted to meet contemporary needs and function seamlessly – while preserving its aesthetic character. This programme will be of particular interest to those keen to understand the complexities of heritage renovation in detail.
