Location:

Budapest, Apollo Galery – 1085 Budapest, Blaha Lujza tér 1.

Dates

2025.10.17 18:00 - 20:00

The opening of Márton Gresa’s solo exhibition All That Never Was takes place on Friday, 17 October 2025, at 6.00 PM at Apollo Gallery, Blaha Lujza tér 1, Budapest VIII. The artist’s practice reflects on the overconsumption of visual content, media proliferation, and attitudes of consumer society. In his painting practice, he reinterprets 21st-century painting and the role of the artist within a cultural and technological context where all value can be commodified, and uniqueness is supplanted by repetition and copies. In his works, the “new objectivity” known from realism takes on a new meaning within the duality of the digital and dematerialised present. His methodology is based on the transitions between analogue and digital techniques, as well as the dialogue between material and immaterial cultural codes.
The exhibition’s curator is Renáta Gallai.
