Flavours and Layers – Wine Tasting and Guided Tour
Location:
Budapest, Apollo Gallery – 1085, Budapest Blaha Lujza tér 1.Dates
2025.10.10 18:00 - 20:00
How can the taste character of a wine be connected to the sensory experience of a painting? Is it possible to taste a wine according to colour, texture, or rhythm? On this evening, the special wines of Bortársaság will enter into dialogue with the exhibited artworks: wines are paired with images according to associations, sensations, and moods. Thanks to the guided tour by art historian Blanka Bán and the contribution of Bortársaság, visitors will experience how visual perception and taste can intertwine, and how painting and wine culture can be interpreted through the senses. The evening offers an opportunity to perceive and reflect on the parallels between visual and gustatory experiences. Just as wines and paintings have layers, so do the stories, culminating on this night in a unique and lasting impression. During the programme, works by Áron Baráth, Ákos Bánki, and Dávid Szentgróti will be on display.
