Glass artist Gergely Pattantyús will first present his Hommage à Rippl-Rónai glass set, followed by a visual presentation on the outcomes of the Social-Glass Design Symposium held in summer 2025. Between 1999 and 2002, inspired by the original Rippl-Rónai designs yet diverging organically, he created a set of chalices in pink, purple, and yellow tones, reminiscent of flower petals and referencing the former decorative glass of the Andrássy dining hall. The ten-piece set was created using the traditional furnace technique and is currently held in the collection of the MNMKK Museum of Applied Arts. The Social-Glass Design Symposium, organised as a creative camp in Óbánya, focused on contemporary interpretations of the art of hand-blown glass. Masters and apprentices explored the technique of mouth-blown glass, digital archiving, movement analysis, and integration into teaching and design processes.
